Jessie P. Rollins – Title 1 Parent Involvement Coordinator
“It all starts with A-B-C-D-E-F-G. . .now I know my ABC’s, next time won’t you sing with me. Before you know it your child is reading. If you want to raise a reader then read to your child. Numerous studies have shown how much just 15 minutes a day can affect how well a child reads.”
Jessie Rollins is a graduate of Caroline County Public Schools. She started working in the school system under Mrs. Geneva Thomas at Dawn School. She has worked as a substitute teacher, officer of PTA, James Farmer Scholars, Music Boosters and FHA. Jessie is very active in community organizations that focus on the children of Caroline County.
Since 1998, she has been the Parent Involvement Coordinator. One of her greatest joys is working with parents to create activities to help them work better with their children, especially in reading.
She attends workshops and programs throughout the year.
In 2003, Jessie completed the requirements to be “Highly Qualified” according to the No Child Left Behind Act.
